>Go hlj/amiami>get added "tax" once items shipped>go ebay who kicked up a big stink over it>they charge it whenever I buy internationally, but not from local sellers>go amazon>amazon initially GEOBLOCKED australia forcing us to use their shittier version so they didn't have to modify their end to cater for us shitposters>in the end amazon removed the geoblock and charge us the 10% gst once items shipThere are literally 3 sites I'm aware of that don't charge us this tax, one I understand because the guy runs it out of his own home and is very niche, one is one we all know here damn well that somehow evades this (I presume because the shipping from them is insane as it is unless they're hiding the number in their shipping calculator), the third I guess they haven't caught onto yet because you have to manually change the website's language to see it in english, also its clunky as fuck so I guess they haven't verified it, they even charge that shit on shipping proxies so if a US amazon seller doesn't want to ship to me I also have to pay the 3p+tax+native shipping+international shipping
I'm actually quitting buying online very shortly, if its not the quality of mp's going down and their prices going up its my own government blaming everyone but themselves for their high prices (local businesses complained their losing to online store fronts when really its our high wages and overheads along with the need for profit that's the cause, and smart arses like myself can skirt around that, but half of what I buy I can't get here anyway like the rain makers triple pack from US target)
