My problem with other series is usually their aesthetics...Are shit. I absolutely cannot stand the spindly limb, Samurai Jack-esque stuff, and I especially hate the flat, noseless faces from a lot of TF series. It looks like shit. A lot of redesigns of older classics just end up looking bad. Even TF Prime, a series I liked overall, I wouldn't collect a figure from, because the basic character designs were pretty fugly to me outside of maybe Soundwave, who is also retardedly expensive from what I've seen. Of course, there are always exceptions, I have no absolutes in this. I just get what appeals to me.
