So this blew up into something really fucking dumb. I've got no prior history with the seller, but I don't like seeing people try and delegitimize my purchases. I didn't mention problems with shipping because the seller said they were dealing with some personal issues at the time, and figured it would be in poor taste. Now it doesn't seem like all that much compared to the thread autism. That, and they were regularly emailing me on-top of the fact that I could request a refund from paypal, so it never seemed like a scam given that more shipping just costs them more money.

It sounds to me like a kid that needs to get his own car so he can get his ass to the post office more often if this is something that regularly happens, but I wouldn't call my experience negative. How fucking up shipments serves to profit the seller is beyond me. That said, this is my first exchange in the BST as well, and I don't how far back the seller's history goes with everyone here. Hopefully this allows for other anons to make informed opinions on whether or not they wish to buy from the seller in the future.
