These Animals, Warriors of the Kingdom figures are all solid, fun to handle and well articulated, but I feel their aesthetic doesn't mesh well with more grounded fantasy fair. And it's not just their sci-fi elements, which I've mostly avoided so far, but more that they feel almost....cartoonish. Like these guys should be from some early 90s action cartoon (which would be awesome). It's not a bad thing, but definitely a different feel for these guys then Mythic or SC figures.
That said, I do kinda regret getting the Hyena three pack, as right when I got them the 4H dropped their Reign of the Beast wave, and I would much rather prefer to have a group of Gnolls over these hyena guys. They're cool and all, but that Gnoll looks badass.
Though their wave 2 figures do look to be a lot of fun, the Bird Bard with the Lute-Bow was too charming to not pick up.
