>>8018567I don't thikn you're wrong about OVAs, but you're ignoring a good chunk of the rest of what was being produced and how important the west was in actually influencing anime in the 90s-00s.
each side of the ocean had/has different tastes and anime producers were scrambling all over each other to get something that appealed to both. They also knew that the west had a potentially bigger market, so it especially skewed what they were producing. Hence the japanese market being screwed with their projects when US importers were crashing.
I'm not sure why you think i stopped watching anime. Total non sequitor, unless you're pretending that moeshit is the only thing being produced today? because that's pretty damn ignorant.
Or is it because you think i wouldn't watch something just because it's drawn to entice pedos? because that shit has been around for a very long time, but usually as some side character (whereas today it's in the forefront, if not main character/entirety of the designs)
And i never said violent anime died out, unless you're trying to conflate me talking about story driven drama vs ultra violence? because then you're not just ignorant, but also deranged.
