Aesthetically and functionally, it's boring... Bland. It falls utterly short of it's predecessor from 22 years ago.
Chunky flat blocks can't really compare, at all, to the stylistic detail put into the og toa's technic limbs and Kanohi masks. There's no reason to get this if you already have a real Tahu or Takua other than blind consumerism. I mean, whoopee, Lego put out a single Bionicle set for $100. One that's worse than all the real Bionicle sets. and also, Lego as an entity doesn't really give a shit at all, since everything cool about this was pushed for by the 2 individual designers who are actual Bionicle nerds. I'm glad for those 2 guys, that's about it.
