Basically, the grenade launcher takes the place of the lower receiver, so the pistol grip and trigger guard fit directly together.
Pic related, it's the grenade carbine next to a couple other of the weapons for scale. Maybe "carbine" is giving it too much credit. Grenade pistol is selling it too short, though. Grenade coach gun?
