There's a really bad sense of scale with the new trilogy.
They zip around everywhere in only minutes. Even the New Order looks tiny, because that parade ground with the speech, where there are a scattered amount of troopers and a paltry amount of TIE Fighters. A fucking aircraft carrier right now carries 2/3rds more than that.
There's way more nazi soldiers in those rallies in the 1930s too.
Even fucking Lucas was able to give a more epic looking scale with Attack of the Clones with clones being packed together in massive numbers, showing but a fraction of their numbers, in the process of being loaded into giant transports, with some already leaving.
