I don't know why the kit has those weird points on his thigh armor, I don't think I've seen any official art of Cell that has that, but at least they'll be easy to shave off.
His yellow earpiece things look like they extend a bit too far down, I think they're supposed to end just above the bottom of his nose.
I kind of want to try cloning the faceplate with some silicone mold putty so I can give him a wider range of expressions, but I'll have to examine the mechanism attaching it to the head to see if a polymer clay faceplate is feasible. I want to make more hands as well, if I can. Of course I'll add fingernails too.
This project won't be finished anytime soon, I don't have anywhere safe to set up an airbrushing booth in my current apartment. But it's never too early to start planning and compiling reference, right?
Any opinions on color choices? I'm thinking a green in between the default plastic and the muted Figuarts version 1 color. The black will be glossy, with a very subtle purple tint, I think.
I haven't seen any custom paintjobs for this kit, yet. I'm worried about painting the exterior green parts without clogging up the holes in them. Maybe if I put masking tape on the interior surface, any paint that gets in the holes will come off when I remove it?
