A custom Dahgi Iris, further modified for long range point recon. Compared to the Dahgi Iris, the Dahgi Iris Kai has a modified beam rifle that functions as a high gain Yagi antenna. This allows the mobile suit to monitor specific long range targets from well outside of enemy sensor range, in addition to the normal suite of surveillance equipment standard to the Dahgi Iris. In order to not disrupt the sensitive electronics in the antenna rifle, the Iris Kai forgoes the standard beam saber in favour of a heat sword, much like how the base mobile suit opts for a physical shield rather than a beam shield. This particular mobile suit is piloted by Dorel Ronah, who had the suit painted in a style reminiscent of the Sleeves mobile suits due to rumours that he was of some relation to Full Frontal’s right hand man, Lieutenant Angelo Sauper. Whether this is true or not, the dark coloration with white highlights helps the Iris Kai blend in with the surrounding background of void and stars, aiding in its surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
