I actually encountered something like this very recently, although it was an Online Only sort of thing. A main retail chain here decided to start selling McFarlane DC Multiverse figures out of nowhere though most of it isn"t stuff I actually want to buy. Cool thing to keep an eye out on though. Few days pass and I check back again out of boredom and see they put up a listing for a random Mattel DC Multiverse figure of all things. Far as I can tell the figure itself is about 7 years old by this point so for shits and giggles I decided to order one and see how it goes. Got a shipping confirmation at least so it seems pretty legit.
