Post Crisis, Supes was given a soft reboot. John Byrne wrote a six issue miniseries called The Man of Steel to give context to what Supes would be like. He introduced a lot of the modern elements we see as basic Superman mythology now.
Byrne made Krypton into a more sterile and science obsessed culture. He turned Kal’s rocket into a birthing matrix. They got rid of all the other Kryptonians in order to make him more unique in the new continuity. He also emphasized that Clark was the real person, and Superman was the persona. It’s also a decent read, if you’re interested in Supes’ “modern” origin.
The thing you’ve got to remember about Crisis, it’s that 99.99% of DC characters didn’t know what really happened. In-universe, the result of Crisis was a rewrite of the universe into a single continuity. So characters like Supes were just rewritten into their new continuity. The only parts of Crisis they’re aware of is the Anti-Monitor trying to destroy the universe, and them fighting to stop him. The new combined continuity was just how it’s always been to them now.
