If you use lacquer for gloss black it will most likely dry before any dust has a chance to settle, all you need is to make sure dust doesn't
get on your piece while you are spraying or immediately after. Wipe the inside of your booth with damp towel, wipe the inside of your airbrush cup, wipe your piece with antistatic cloth or brush. Not even kidding.
>several light coats of chromeWith Alclad, with every additional coat the end result gets worse, so you need to find the magic combination of distance, pressure and spraying technique that lets you coat the piece in as few passes as possible (ideally in 1 pass).
Having said all that, Alclad is best used for small to medium details, if you want a mirror finish on large smooth pieces electroplating powder will give you better results.

Tamiya primer is lacquer based, it is fully cured in 24hr tops.
