>>9894134Mostly disagree. These figures were mostly mind-blowing for their time. I was importing toys even back when these first came out (which IIRC was around 2001-2002) and these caught my attention immediately. Vash is probably the worst in the line due to his coat and immobile legs. Wolfwood is much better, but his lankiness makes him difficult to deal with. Meryl has a decent joint setup for the time, surprisingly. Monev and Gazelle are simply amazing toys, with tons of little details, great poseability, and phenomenal paintwork. Altogether, they're a nice looking bunch.
The most special thing about the line was the attention to detail. Every one had something extra that made it feel a little special, like the chain and manacle on Vash, Meryl's racks of derringers (each one removable and fully painted), or Monev's individual bullets, which you wire painstakingly into a bullet belt yourself. Wolfwood's fully transforming cross came with a canvas and chains so you could wrap it like in the show, I still think that's one of the coolest gimmicks I've ever seen on a figure.
