>>11558831shuttered because there's other companies are doing their own thing now, because AI and robot projects have grown by a shit ton since the 00s.
Make other companies richer, because there's a lot of money that can be made from that.
There are companies are even selling that shit to the public now, because it's so easy to produce now.
And who knows what the military is doing in secret.
Boston Dynamics isn't even an American company, so Big Dog was only supposed to be a supply carrier. Guess what happened when Big Dog was canceled? Boston Dynamics went to work on an even bigger robot. And when that was canceled? Here's their current one.
We went from meticulously programmed robots that barely climb stairs that were carefully measured at a speed of a few yards an hour, to robots that figure out how to climb stairs all on their own in another year, to robots climbing moving stairs... while being pushed/pulled, while carrying shit, at a few mph in another few years.
Again, technology progresses and you're shutting your ears and eyes to reality, pretending change isn't possible and there won't be progress anymore, because you think we shouldn't have laws to protect human interests? To pretend that corporations aren't already replacing us and wont have a need for us in the future?
By the time mines no longer need to be dug out by hands, it's already too late for the rest of humanity, bro. Again, shit like programming, music, writing, drawings, and animation, that was once thought too complex for machine to ever do is now possible with the machine. Robots still need need a ways to go, but they're getting there and it's going to happen before you hit the age limit on being drafted into the military.
Whether there's cullings or not... well, war is inevitable, huh? Any excuse can be made for them. Maybe there'll be another lab created pandemic, but next time they'll be more secretive?
