A color homage is not the same thing as an entire sculpt and he is working with the likes of people from Saurian who push the style you see in the line and did the models for Saurian and the Isle games.
I know there are different opinions in the paleo community regarding lips, feathers, scales, skin, mass, and size estiments. Color is still optional but most prefer the color of birds, lizards, and snakes these days. random color variant based on old nostalgia stuff has nothing to do with going against scientific accuracy.
