All the major toy companies have destroyed/lost molds with little effort and I know both Mattel and Toybiz had situations where they made figures and then destroyed the castings a year later not expecting anymore demand for the product.
And while I'm uncertain if these are the original castings (unlikely) this shows that from a legal standpoint Hasbro replicate Kenner figures now. I'd wager they could make 1 for 1 Toybiz MLs without fuss original casting or otherwise
