>>9073170>Shoplifting hurts everyone, it raises prices,That's an old wives tail started by greedy and corrupt corporations to guilt people into staying in place. Don't fall for their propaganda, anon.
Stores will raise prices when, and if they feel like it. Take the Limited Edition Disney Store dolls for example. They started of at $99.95 each to promote each films blu-ray release, but once they got wind that they were selling on ebay for $600 they wanted to get in on it, and not only raised the price to $130, but dramatically lowered the quality of the dolls. Less embroidery panels on dolls like Aurora, more printed on details and unhemmed pieces of clothing became the norm, and a years or so later they raised the price again to $140.
Stores know better then to charge way too much for basic item because if they do , it wont sell, and will end up in clearance.
