>>11016034>It's because Lego started very aggressively marketing towards that demographic.yeah but lego still has fun stuff.
In fact - one of the reasons why I returned was Monkie Kid.
Their sets are so cool that i stopped being in coma and fully in lego now.
And they also have Jurassic Park anniversary sets now that are not adult-targeted but playful and fun looking.
Also those epic Dreamzzz upcoming sets and other stuff.
PS:
Monkie Kid feels like those better days of Lego Movie sets (Lego Batman and Ninjago movies had 10/10 tier sets that everybody loved - MK really feels like that - lots of thoughts put into those).
> All the "adults" that were too ashamed to get lego for themselves can now do so with a clear conscience because the sets are in a fancy new box and it says 18+ on it.Yeah...
it kinda scares away "true" lego fans.
I feel so cringed talking about stuff I like within those circles.
Fucking why....i've been a lego fan for literal DECADES and have shit ton of sets and expensive rare minifigures.
And I feel "unwelcomed".
Because they post expensive star wars and collectable sets (and fucking FLOWERS in their empty ikea houses) and...
and there I am with "H-HEY GUYS :) DO YOU LIKE MECHS? I LOVE ELEPHANT MECH FROM MONKIE KID! :D" which makes me feel embarrassed and out of place and not fitting.
what the fuck
it's 2024 and geeks feel not welcomed in their own hobby.
this is just depressing
>bricklink forumsoh wait...there are forums on bricklink? i never actually looked at those despite using it. Will try it out.
>>11016034>their latest "haul"this is the worst part.
I'm almost sure they don't even build anything. They just taking photos for the social media points and then throwing those away for "investiment".
PS:
Just because we live in a clown world, I predict that soon normies will be paying other people to build large sets for them because they don't want to do it themselves.
