I think the appeal of the Revoltechs is that their articulation lends themselves very well to elaborate action poses, which in contrast to something like Figma or SHF can be achieved very easily. It does mean they look a little odd in neutral poses, but who buys action figures to have them all standing straight in a line? Especially when the line is so great at achieving dynamic results with little effort.
And yes, they're definitely stylised, but modelled after popular interpretations of the characters. They're not based on the MCU and comic book characters rarely have realistic proportions.
