But, the design philosophy of plastic gen is the exact opposite of burst. You will notice most burst attack rings have very swoopy and smooth outer points, to glance and slide off of each other with as little impact as possible, while plastic gen attack rings are jagged and over hang really wide, with the intent to impart as much physical force into each other as possible, in an attempt to knock each other clear out of the ring. Unfortunately, this means all the plastic gen remakes in burst, almost always immediately burst on contact, rendering them basically useless for actual play.
