>>10105210It most likely had some important role in an earlier scrapped version of the 2001 story. It's in the unreleased game's files, you can put it on the face of any Toa (with the debug menu), but it doesn't do anything.
I feel like there was a mostly finished version of the planned story for the first three years somewhere in late 2000 or early 2001, with the the awakening of Mata Nui in the third year. But it was scrapped partly because of the movie (among other reasons). 2002 feels like it was supposed to be much bigger.
