>>9531858This is my own theory but there are several factors that kept this thread super chill.
>Knowledge, Hot Wheels and similar brand keep releasing more and more every year, we already gave up trying to learn everything and decided to learn niche that we want or better, we just go in blind and having fun with it.>Trend chaser is rare or pretty much non existent here. Sure we got hyped with new releases but it's not like we want to get them all. People who started as scalper tend to get overwhelmed after a while and competition is fierce because in reality, die cast collecting can be considered super cheap compared to model trains>Since there's no focus, we can just do whatever we want. Race them? Sure. Just put them as decoration? go ahead. Customize them to look better or go faster in racing? Open your workshop boyo. Put them in your ass and pretend you're Richard Gere? You're one step away from losing that movie contract anyway Richard.I felt that the more expensive a collection is, the more autistic the collectors are. I used to mingle with watch collectors, I thought with them being white collar workers and in professional setting I was expecting more mature group of people. But nooooooooooooooooo, those watch snobs are worse than /v/ board.
