>>11632467that's not a giant vehicle, retard. And like all vehicles sold in stores to fit on store shelves, you had to assemble it to make longer.
>Also, back in that same era they were charging $15-$20 for most figures. They actually charged LESS than Marvel Legends and other Hasbro figures at the time, at a much larger scale.LOL WAT? Way to prove you know nothing about the past.
If you owned any NECA toys from back then, you'd know why their figures cost as little as they did and that's because they didn't have much articulation. Fewer pieces to mold and assemble = lower costs.
Nevermind because NECA is so small, they don't react to market conditions as fast as Hasbro does. So NECA figures were more expensive than 6" figures from 2008-2013. In 2013, Black series started at $20 while MLs were still $15. After 2014, NECA started getting better at articulation and prices rose of course. So for the longest time, MLs/BS figures were $19.99 while NECA went from $16 to $35 in the same time frame.
Again, this just shows the benefits from being a mass market toy company. NECA prices kept rising and rising, because they're niche and don't sell anywhere close to what Hasbro sells.
So the fact that Haslab vehicles cost $300 is because they're selling way worse than before.
>without acknowledging like a dozen world eventsSays the guy pretending that half of all Walmarts and Targets no longer carry the GI Joe line and Hasbro can't get any stores to carry GI Joe vehicles.
>b-b-but market conditions!2008 was worse and you know what Hasbro did to keep their sales going? Making 1:18 their standard. They kept toys affordable and this is why Hasbro got even more money to try an expand their business by buying up media companies.
