The way the sculpt is cut up proves that they are predetermined.
Just look at the jagged knees and having the joint being exposed. Or the unnatural looking neck at certain angles.
Lines like Figuarts have smoother profiles because the sculpt is engineered to look more natural in many poses.
The figure's joints have to be aligned to look natural, and that's pretty much the definition of being pre-posed. When that alignment is skewed, it looks awkward and disjointed, like you see in many of pictures in this thread.
So Yamaguchi's stuff is basically the opposite of a McStatue. McStatues are pre-posed to look dynamic. Yamaguchi's stuff are preposed to look natural... well, except for the shoulders. fucking ugly.
