Unfortunately they'll be at the mercy of any foe with an air force (some of the troops have MANPADS but this has range limitations) and long-range movement will be limited. The Spectre can certainly double as resupplier but will be vulnerable to enemy AA and air superiority assets, may prove decisive against similarly equipped enemies though. The town rug also provides morale and supply bonuses to forces defending it. Adding a SAM launcher, some trucks for transport and logistics and a few long-range artillery pieces would greatly increase the odds in their favour.
