The hands and elbows come apart so you can redress the dolls more easily, but the leg joints don't on any of the dolls other than Skelita and the cams. These new dolls with fewer joints have much simpler outfits, and fewer small accessories than the usual ones.
In addition to the ones you've posted, EAH is also doing a line like these new MH dolls which use moulded bodies instead of clothes, with no hand or elbow joints, and very simple skirts for outfits.
I genuinely think the suggestion that they're for younger kids is pretty likely what Mattel is going for at this point, but only time will tell.
