>>8100079Final fantasy ex-collector here, let's see:
No, your answer is no, play arts Kai are ugly and cheap and ridiculous expensive.
I started collecting back in 2011, in fact my very first figure was
>>8100158 this tifa, I remember I was with a friend watching AC and I loved the characters, for some reason I looked up figures of the main characters and to my surprise o saw the original FFVII play arts, the ones based on the game, I didn't know anything about vii even though I loved FF I only played from 1-6, I wanted to get yuffie because she looked the most appealing to me, we went to a con a few days later and I bought tifa because there were no more play arts but her and Aerith, godamn, the detail in her was amazing, I always got a hard on looking at her (I was
15) since her chest was well done, she was so cool that I started collecting all final fantasy play arts and FF In general.
My first pak was lightning from xiii back when she was new and paks were super cheap, the detail was amazing, she was very tall, like 30cm if I remember correctly and the paint was very cool, articulation was impressive too, I stopped collecting ff in 2013 but got almost all of them.
I stopped buying paks until 2017, I got my hands in that AC tifa.
Damn, not only was she ridiculously expensive but the paint was so cheap and shiny, the articulation was so bad and stiff and the details were horrendous, I, seems like they changed a bit in the recent years but they're still overpriced pieces of garbage with awful articulation and cheap plastic/paint.
So no, they're not worth it, Dave your money for something else OR get the classic playarts, however I think those are even more expensive.
OH by the way, never trust square enix marketing,
>>8111640 they look amazing in pics BUT those are the prototypes, square always markets the prototypes and the final product is always in lower quality, it's ALWAYS the same since the first AC playarts from 2005 up to today.
