>>9336458If you're really unaware of what Lego's been up to in the last year or so, here's a quick rundown
>Spring 2021 saw the release of Vidiyo, a mixed media theme where you can have colorful characters like robots or llama dudes or ghost girls dance in homemade music videos. The theme itself is bombing due to poor sales, but the real kicker was that someone was spamming that some of the color palettes chosen were to represent various pride flags>~June 2021 saw the release of pic related during pride month, which caused a whole uproar both in and outside of /lg/ >A week ago saw the announcement of a set based on the Queer Eye reboot (Which is a thing apparently?) that comes with prints/stickers that say stuff like >>9334197 or YAAAAS QUEEN>Both of those sets were designed by the VP of Design at TLG >>9334637, meaning that there's going to be a push for more of this sort of thing going forwardI don't really have a strong opinion regarding people in the LGBTQ community, but I feel like bringing this subject matter into Lego sets is a slippery slope for things to come. I can understand the Everyone is Awesome set existing, but a Netflix show that has very little presence outside of the US? Who was asking for a Queer Eye lego set asides from a VP at Lego?
