>>9077691I think he claimed that it wasn't so much a money problem as it was a "gf thinks I'm childish because I have a room full of Godzilla toys" problem, although most people would be embarrassed to admit that they spent more they can afford on toys. Collecting anything can be addictive, but you have to give yourself a reality check every now and again and come to terms that you can't buy everything. Used to work with a guy who hunted down every single Amiibo that Nintendo made for Super Smash Bros. After he bought them all, he just sold his entire collection on eBay, and then started collecting Marvel Legends. People really do get hooked on the dopamine rush of consooming. I guess it's just hunter-gatherer instincts or something of that nature.
