>>11447375the "set design" is carefully crafted to seem generous, but is actually manipulating you into spending more money. ALL of the "desirable" characters are in the most expensive sets, key among them is the MAIN CHARACTER Luffy. you DO get him in the lower-priced sets, but not "wearing" his hat. Oh, he HAS the hat, he just can't wear it. how frustrating! (what? balance it on top of the hair piece? see? he's kinda wearing it?)
it's like they expect, demand, wonder why not, the minimum every fan WILL, there's no way everybody won't... BUY THE $140 SHIP
sorry Lego, but $140 is still a lot of money to a lot of people, and NOT everybody can spend it. (I wanted the Onyx Cinder, too, but didn't get it)
the "random" wanted poster is a terrible idea, the buy-in for "chances" is outrageous. you WILL get doubles, you WILL be missing some, you WILL be sad about it. why would you engineer "sadness" into your product? there's only a small "chance" the kid will be happy... whew! I DID get them all! oh, thank goodness!!!! the avoidance of sadness is not the same as true happiness
---there are a few exceptions, Shanks & Buggy are each in "affordable" sets, so it's not all terrible. that's part of the manipulation. (you want Mihawk or Grandpa? those are $330... which is an obvious, ridiculous amount of money)
