That said, there's only so much you can do with a handful of parts unless you're going out of your way to make art through adversity. The best answer is a little of both. Self-imposed limitation is the to go if you want to find cool building techniques, and to avoid both iterating on the Inika archetype that's been iterated into the ground or throwing parts at a massive noisy shape until it looks like something.
