Returning to my "J0" what if (Airfix A6M2). Painted up the cockpit and squeezed it together. Main fuselage halves were somewhat warped, bulging out at the middle, so it had to be buggered shut with some force. Also of note is the little bit with the rear of the machineguns, that attaches to the top front fuselage bit. The instructions tell you to first glue the main fuselage and cockpit tub together first, and then just add that assembly. But the gap in the main fuselage is too narrow for the MG bit to fit through, so that needs to be added in as you close up the fuselage.
