>>8712079It's rarely just "buy toy, done." There is a lot involved in a hobby. We're talking about toys here daily, discussing theory and ideas on what we like and don't like, speculating on news, chasing preorders, researching new lines, etc. By doing more with the topic in this fashion, it becomes more than just buying an object. It's something you like doing, seeing, talking about.
Also, there are creative pursuits too, like posing, photography, stop motion, etc. That's a large part of what keeps me interested.
