>>9334005>grew up in Germany of the 90s.>Grandpa's both WW2 veterans, so looooots of related books in their shelfs, which started my interest in military history, tanks etc.>Toy stores usually have a shelf or two with Revell models here, so full access to "everything" (it took years until i realized that other brands besides Revell even exist)>buy/play with 1/72 soldiers all the time>get a 1/72 Revell Stug IV (reboxed Matchbox) and my dad builds it with me, because of the fiddly link-and-length trackThis was my first model. From then onwards i build tons of 1/72 tanks and planes, just to play with them and my soldiers.
Then some years of dark age (access to Playstation, PC, Internet etc) and with 20-ish i bought some Warhammer stuff, and at some point also an 1/35 Panther by Tamiya, a scale that i never touched as a child.
Now i swich back and forth between wargaming stuff and "real" scale models
Pic related is the mentioned Stug. It should still exist somewhere in my parents basement.
