$30 is barely any better than $20 figures. They might have more articulation or a bit more paint, but they're definitely not premium.
10-8 years ago, they would have been premium, but costs have gone up since then.
Today a premium figure costs ~$40. You get really nice paint, great articulation, and a wholey new sculpt. And that's about it.
Budget children toys have increased in quality so much that there really isn't more to add.
After $~40? There is literally nothing more that's added. Sure, they might add electronics, with sound and lights. Or even larger figure. OR worse, a bunch more accessories, but the fact that toys used to come with a bunch more accessories for budget toys, that seems like a rip off. Still, there's a bunch of lines where you're paying ~$50-120 for a standard figure that isn't any better than ~$40 figures.
Then there's dolls, but they're not action figures.
pic of a $70 figure that has worse paint than Mythic Legion figures, but at least it has beter articulatino... like a $20 figure. Single weapon too. Very disppointing.
