This is when TRUs started popping up in my area.
There were only 2 back then and the 90s brought in a lot of new ones, making me excited because i thought i'd see brand new toys... but nope, same shit as my other ones, but at least it was more places to find toys i wanted.
I miss the old TRU set up. They made you walk through their sale section first, which most TRUs still do, that led you to the back section where all their board games were. 40 feet of board games piled 15 feet high alll along the back wall. I forget was on the aisle sections in that area. The next area had musical shit and some other weird electronics. After that was the video game section, which really makes my nostalgiabladder start leaking seeing shit like this.
Back then TRU really made you walk through all their sections just to get where you really needed. Now you can just walk in, skip the sale front section by going directly through the cashier area and straight into the action figure aisles.
