This is an interesting one. Maxx is a Mego figure made by Matchbox. No really, Maxx uses the exact same body as a Mego. Anyways, Maxx's shtick was that he was a movie stunt man that could dress up in a movie monster costume. Maxx came with a costume for Freddy from Nightmare on Elm St.
However, Maxx and his Freddy costume was the only one sold at retail. The line was deemed "too scary" for kids. The other four costumes were never released. There was a planned second line of costumes planned that included Gil-Man, Jason, Wolfman, and a caveman of some sort.
Such a great looking line. Shame it died on the vine.
