You have to put the fins in, too. I recommend taking them off to put the nuke on, since there's less a chance of you snapping the peg that way. In my opinion anyway.
So, yes, it's a huge improvement, and it's worth buying. But it's not perfect. The top-heavy nature may cause issues for some more than others. I think I would've liked ratcheting hip joints to help with that, maybe slightly different designed ankles (though these do have a sexy amount of range) to help hold it all up.
Your mileage will vary I'm sure, but I'm pretty happy with the figure. Not blown away I guess, but happy. I do love the shit out of those missiles though.
