>>8069162>but toymakers claim that the building costs are closeIve only seen 4H say this. Again, i want to see a source for anyone else, because it smells like shit.
>this is what we see; 6” figures selling in the $20 range while 4” figures sell in the $10-15 rangeAs mentioned above, this is likely because they've hit their price limit. They're afraid of a children's toy costing over $20, so they're likely taking a loss in order to get more sales instead.
If you look at multi-pack prices, stuff like Fortnite figures will generally cost $10 per figure in a set. A single packed figure usually costs $13.
Whereas ML two packs still cost $20 per figure at $40.
So you can see that they're not doing what they've normally done when buying multi-packs, because costs have been increasing.
So again, in PRACTICE, it shows that 1:18 figures aren't as expensive as you believe and 4H bullshitted about.
>Refer to the pic of 7 Hacks and 5 MLs.Again, refer to my post here
>>8067131 and
>>8067131Again, 4H toys are only priced for their profits only. Whereas BFS prices their toys for WHOLESALE, FUTURE PRODUCTIONS (and production of the current wave), and PROFITS.
It's a very unfair comparison, but despite that, 1:18 figures still cost less.
Hacks can be bought for $20 for the cheapo budget figures. MGR figures can cost $13 (same price as Fortnite figures) for just the figure or ~$17 with accessories.
If we were to compare apples to apples, a Mythic Legion figure actually costs $50 if bought at retail whereas BFS still only cost $25.
I'd like to point out that packaging costs a fuckton. Go look at HAsbro's Hydra army builder at their Pulse store only costing $15 because the figure comes in a baggie inside a small cardboard box vs the large cardboard bubbled see through box MLs come in at stores for $20. see pic on how much fucking paper costs.
