DItched the fading and went for some quick modulation, now for the camo but I don't know if I should go with a very light grey (greyish white really) or with the dark grey I had planed. The scheme is based on the Type XXVIIB Seehund splotches or stripes underwater patterns
>>6544127Having build one for what I can remember of it boxed it looks legit, can't see the PE mudguards tho in the pics. Forget about the barrel, mine didn't have one and seems that it was a first run or special edition kits, the rest have plastic only. Really nice kit with some small mistakes and the biggest flaw is the lack of coil housing (I guess that's the name?) of the tensor wheel but you could make one with some bits. For that price is a steal. Also if you want I can link you my build log and take a look.
>>6544567Space stuff is always hard to weather due the lack of irl references. I would go for grey and black (or almost black) pigments and oils to make light dusting, oil dots would break the monotony and bring some interest to it too with blue, magenta, orange, yellow, white, black and grey, I don't know if it can get damaged by radiation or fading some maybe that too if you like. Haven't seen the movie/series so I can't say much more.
About the chipping why is it following all panels? do they get disassembled or replaced a lot? I would put some like in wwII planes in the zone near the pilot too and some long light and/or deep scratches from debris and micrometeorites perhaps.
It depends a lot on what you image the thing doing and the level of use and maintenance you want to show too so I'm just shooting ideas.
>>6544946That's a pretty cool project, I'm quite tired of tanks right now and found in ma.k a breath of fresh air, might get into more fantasy stuff this year as a "vacation".
The tail yellow gradient should not be inversed? Darker yellow near the black/upper piece and lighter towards the ends as light hits more there
