i started by cutting out a axe template i liked out of plastic, then i built walls on it and filled it with resin
after peeling off the plastic i sanded all the faces and corners smooth
added trim cut out of more plastic (the thin plastic from the front of the figure box) and a cast of the skull i removed from the chest of the marine
used a straw for the handle (filled with smaller diameter plastic tubes so it wouldn't be hollow and fragile) and wrapped some wire around the end and a little chain with another skull
i didnt want to hand make a ton of teeth so i cut the teeth off of a chainsword and also used the "engine" part of it for more detailing above the handle
added styrene rod bits, melted them into rivets, and it made a pretty good chain axe!
