>>6082503Cool man, that version didn't even have exhaust pipes!
I'm actually assembling parts to make another one. That way i can have one buggy/offroad style one more like it was before and a more pure tarmac racecar. I already have most parts needed in medium-blue too, but the limited amount of parts available in that colour and relative rarity is annoying(Especially when i know that 1 high doors don't even come in that colour yet) so now i'm going for a gray variant loosely based on pic related. (I always understood the significance of the beetles design, but it wasn't until i found this gnarly matchbox connectable and saw this beat up 50s one that i finally 'got' the design and came to love it).
The lower rear bumper aerodynamica looks good from the sides with the extra wide and low bodykit, but from the back it makes the car look too tall and narrow imo. I actually kinda like the big height of the rearbumpers old setup, makes it looked more organic and chopped for easier offroading
I've taken apart and rebuilt this thing so many times already. I don't even think i took pics of the gasser style dragrace mode i made with huge slicks in the back, jacked up suspension in the front and a quad exhaust setup.
It's funny you say that about the yellow convertible. I really like the sleek and clean look, but minfigures need to have very short hair for them to be able to lean back against the seat naturally (even the chearleader pigtails hair pushes the figure forward completely)
I thought about making the curve 1 stud shorter to allow for more room for the many figures with long flowy hair i have andmaybe a more detailed seat using snot brackets with tiles. But i'll have to order some parts for it.
>>6082528Oh man that looks awesome, i love the fenders.
I just added some of those old fabuland roofs to my wanted list today too, so this makes me hyped.
>>6082468thanks man
