>One photograph shows a Pz Kpfw V belonging to Kampfgruppe Kaether (Colonel Kaether's task force) was knocked out in the vicinity of Zossen, 25-26 April 1945. The Panther has a Nazi Swastika next to the number>"Colonel [Ernst] Kaether had made a name for himelf as a regimental commander on the Eastern Front and since had held the appointment of Chief in Staff to the Wehrmacht's chief National Socialist Officer..." This seems to suggest that he was a fervent "Nazi" The swastika seems very similar to the ones that all Luftwaffe planes had on their tail, black with white outlining. Russian troops in a hurry wouldn't have taken the time to paint such an time consuming swastika, they would have done a far quicker job. Based on these observations, I would think the swastika was painted by the German forces.\\| w
