A question about badly matted doll hair.
I found a used Totally Hair Barbie doll today at the thrift shop. It took me a moment to recognize it was her because her hair was so fare gone. Entire sections of it had turned into large mated cotton balls. I'm not even talking just badly matted I'm talking it had turned into cotton balls. I noticed that underneath the top layers of bad hair there were still a few strands of good crimped hair.
How should I go about fixing it?
Is it a dolly crime or major dolly no no to just cut off the bad stuff and see what's left of the good stuff?
I would do really consider a total re-root because I don't know how, and I don't feel up to it. I thought about leaving it in conditioner over night and try to brush it out in small sections from bottom to top, but I will loss the few good crimped strands it has in the process.
