Sounds like you only own a few figures.
Nevermind most of what Hasbro makes are skintight costumes which would have nothing to impede their joints. But as soon as you get more, it gets just as impeded or worse than a McFarlane figure.
Figures like pic are as poseable as their 2011 1:18 counterparts despite the 8PoA difference.
Would I change it just to increase motion? Fuck no, because this looks a hundred times better than having some weirdly articulated figure. This looks premium over what we got in the 80s and 90s, where they did sculpt it in instead of being an overlay. Same applies to McFarlane.
