The blast effect is fucking perfect, a deep shade of orange with really nice transparency, and fits into the bolter hole just right.
The T'au effect is definitely on the chunky side. It's understandable since no holes to plug anything into, and while it rides up on the ridge of the carbine's underbarrel, it otherwise stays on fine and doesn't look too off.
The blast points aren't perfect either, with some curving slightly up or down (might be fixed with some heat), but these are all pretty minor things. Having every T'au weapon emitting a bright blue arc looks really cool on my desk, and adds a ton of life to their firing poses.
The seller was also super cool and sent along a free set of yellow blast effects and a T'au pistol. It's notably bigger than Shadow Sun's, but my grunt doesn't have a problem holding it. Not something that's ever guaranteed, but I really appreciate the gesture.
All in all, absolutely worth the $20 or so I spent on everything, and I've still got 7 Space Marine effects to use when I expand my army. Incredibly tempted to pick up some T'au railguns from the guy if I ever get more Fire Warriors (please revist them JoyToy ;_;).
