The McFarlane isn’t a prototype, it was bought at Walmart yesterday. Same with the Superman in pic.
Not joking at all though. Superpowers had a specific style, scale, action features, etc.
If McFarlane truly wanted to continue that line, then he should’ve used those original figures as templates. But he didn’t. These new figures look like they were made from a memory of what Superpowers looked like, instead of what they actually looked like.
These new figures may be better quality because of modern manufacturing, but they definitely don’t look like they belong in the same line as the originals, which is what Superpowers collectors would want.
