It wasn't as obvious when unpainted due to it being semitransparent and all, but they really pop up in some places, on the other hand they look really nice after scrubbing off the paint from the wires with a toothpick.
Also please don't mind the fact that it looks like it was sanded with 120 grit paper, that's residue from my (soon to be thrown out) tamiya xf-63, who appears to either have just gone bad, or sat in place for too long. That aside, looks decent for a kit from the 70s.
