Batman has had dozens and dozens of costume changes over the years, and that's not counting all his Elseworld costumes either.
IF you go into movie, toy, TV show, and video game costumes, there's hundreds of costume changes.

Releasing their own designs doesn't stop anyone from making comic book accurate costumes. DC Collectibles exists and they make great figures, especially since they started making them more articulated. All the Greg Capullo figures are extremely well done.
Mezco will likely continue making Batmens until the sun engulfs the earth anyway, so just be patient.
Like i said, i don't care for Mezco's original design Batmen, but it doesn't bother me because so what. They're going to make a dozen in the next couple of years.
Funding movie shit actually hurts us, because they'll continue to make bad movies and there's only one outlet for Batmen movies. Versus half a dozen companies making Batman toys for collectors (NECA, Mezco, DCD, Mattelisshit, REvoltech, Mafex, etc).
